Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account or using the Groopa application, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree to the terms, you may not use the application.

Description of Service

Groopa is a progressive web application (PWA) for managing groups and events in community groups. The service includes:

• Creating and managing groups for associations, clubs, choirs, sports teams, and other communities
• Planning one-time and recurring events
• Tracking member attendance (yes/no/maybe)
• Notifications and reminders for events
• Announcements for group members
• App installation on mobile devices with offline support

Groopa is intended exclusively for use in non-professional community groups and is not suitable for commercial event management.

User Accounts

Registration

To use Groopa, you must create an account. When doing so:

• You must provide a valid email address
• You must verify your email address before accessing features
• Password must contain at least 8 characters
• Each person may have only one account

Account Security

You are responsible for protecting your password and for all activities that occur through your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

User Roles and Responsibilities

Groopa has three roles with different permissions:

Owner

Creates the group and has full control. The owner cannot be removed from the group. The owner is responsible for appropriate group use and compliance with these terms.

Administrator

Can manage events, members, and settings. Administrators must respect members and ensure appropriate group use.

Member

Can view events and respond to attendance. Members must provide truthful responses and respect group rules.

Acceptable Use

You must NOT:

• Use for commercial or professional event management
• Publicly share group invite codes without administrator consent
• Submit false attendance responses
• Harass or spam other members
• Attempt to access others' accounts
• Reverse engineer or exploit the application
• Use automated scripts or bots
• Engage in illegal activities

You MUST:

• Provide accurate attendance responses
• Keep account credentials secure
• Respect other group members
• Use the service for legitimate community activities

User Content

Regarding content you create in Groopa:

• You retain ownership of content you create (events, announcements, responses)
• You grant us a license to display your content to group members
• You are responsible for content you create
• We may remove content that violates these terms

Notifications

Regarding notifications:

• Notifications are optional and require your explicit consent
• You can disable notifications at any time in browser or app settings
• Notification types: created/updated/cancelled events, reminders, announcements

Intellectual Property

The name "Groopa", logo, design, and code are our property. All rights reserved. By using the application, you do not acquire any rights to our intellectual property.

Subscriptions and Payments

Creating groups in Groopa requires payment of an annual subscription:

• Subscription is paid annually for each group
• A 1-month free trial with one group is available
• After the trial period expires, the group is locked until subscription payment

Service Availability

Regarding service availability:

• We strive for maximum availability but do not guarantee it
• Maintenance may occur without prior notice
• Features may change or be discontinued

Disclaimers

The Groopa service:

• Is provided "as is" without any warranties
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation
• We do not guarantee data accuracy
• We are not responsible for attendance inaccuracies
• We do not guarantee notification delivery

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not liable for missed events due to notification failures
• We are not liable for disputes between group members

Indemnification

You agree to defend us against claims arising from your content, use of the service, violation of these terms, or violation of third-party rights.

Termination

By you:

• You can leave a group at any time
• You can disable notifications at any time
• You can request account deletion

By us:

• We may suspend access for violations
• We may terminate account with notice
• For severe violations, we may terminate account without notice

Governing Law

These terms of service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia. All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Slovenia. Before initiating legal proceedings, we will attempt to resolve matters informally.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after publication of changes means you agree to the updated terms.

Miscellaneous

• These terms constitute the entire agreement and supersede all prior agreements
• Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver
• Invalid provisions are severed, remaining terms remain in effect
• You may not transfer rights under these terms without our consent
